See two completely different sides of the Riviera Maya in a single day: the grandeur of the ancient Maya world and the mystery of the underworld below it. This 100% private tour pairs the iconic clifftop ruins of Tulum, perched above the Caribbean, with a snorkeling adventure in Cenote Sac Actun — the gateway to one of the longest and most spectacular underground rivers on Earth.
Because the service is exclusively yours, we pick you up right at your hotel or meeting point and head straight there — no stops to collect other travelers. That means you reach Tulum ahead of the big tour buses (better light, cooler temperatures, fewer crowds) and explore the cenote at your own pace. You set the rhythm; we handle everything else.
Your day starts in Tulum, the only Maya settlement built atop a cliff facing the open sea. With a certified, English-speaking guide, you'll walk the ancient walled city and discover why it was a strategic trading port for the Maya civilization.
Just minutes from Tulum lies Sac Actun, which means “white cave” in the Maya language. It's the entry point to a colossal flooded cave system with hundreds of mapped miles of passages — linked in 2018 to the Dos Ojos system — and ranks among the longest underground rivers on the planet. This is a world that took millions of years to form, and it still holds fossils of prehistoric animals and human remains more than 12,000 years old.
After the adventure, we'll stop for a traditional Mexican lunch at a local restaurant in the area — authentic regional flavors to wind down the day, far from the generic tourist buffets.
Note: times are approximate. Since this is a private tour, the schedule flexes around your group.
Sac Actun (“white cave” in Maya) is the entry point to one of the longest flooded cave systems in the world, with hundreds of miles of underground galleries and immense archaeological value. For travelers, it is the chance to swim in crystal-clear water surrounded by thousand-year-old stalactites and stalagmites — an experience unlike any beach or natural pool.
It is snorkeling and floating, not scuba diving, so no certification is needed. Basic swimming ability is recommended, but a life vest is required and lets you float effortlessly. You will always have an expert guide right beside you.
Yes — it is a family-friendly experience. Because the tour is private, we set the pace around your group and stop whenever needed. Children must be supervised by an adult in the water at all times.
When you book, you choose your hotel and pickup time (between 7:00 and 8:30 AM). Once your reservation is complete, our Contact Center team will reach out to confirm every detail and coordinate a smooth, on-time experience.
