Cancun is one of the Caribbean’s top golf destinations: championship courses by world-class designers, greens overlooking turquoise water and fairways that wind through mangroves, dunes and lagoons. Pick the course you like and we’ll take care of the rest: premium rental clubs, an 18-hole round, a golf cart and round-trip transportation from your hotel. At Moon Palace and Riviera Cancun, food and drinks are included too. Just show up, tee off and enjoy.
Golf in Cancun Made Easy: You Play, We Handle the Logistics
Golfing on vacation usually means hauling your bag through the airport, hunting for a tee time and figuring out how to get to the club. Our golf packages take care of all of it in a single booking. Choose your course, date and number of players. We confirm your tee time, pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the club, where your clubs are ready and waiting.
We partner with three of Cancun’s best-known golf courses, each with its own personality: the 27-hole Moon Palace complex, the oceanfront city course at Puerto Cancun and the mangrove-and-dune layout at Riviera Cancun. Here’s what each one is like, so you can pick the best fit for your game.
Cancun Golf Courses You Can Play With Us
Moon Palace Golf Club: 27 Jack Nicklaus Signature Holes
The largest golf complex in our lineup and one of Cancun’s Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. Its 27 holes are split into three nines, Dunes, Jungle and Lakes, which combine to make up your 18-hole round.
The club assigns your two nines when you check in, based on which ones are in rotation for your tee time (Regular or Twilight). Every visit can feel different, and if you come back, you’ll likely play a new combination.
-
Dunes: rolling fairways and ocean breezes, with a true coastal feel.
-
Jungle: holes carved into the jungle, more sheltered, with dense vegetation lining both sides of the fairway.
-
Lakes: the most strategic nine, with water hazards that make you think through every shot.
-
Location: south of Cancun on the highway to Playa del Carmen, close to the airport.
-
Best for: golfers who want variety and a spacious course that’s challenging without being punishing.
-
What’s included at this course: food and drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, at the clubhouse and on-course refreshment stations, plus 25 range balls before your round.
Puerto Cancun Golf Club: Golf Between the City and the Caribbean
Designed by Tom Weiskopf, this is the most central of the three courses. It sits between the Hotel Zone and downtown Cancun, inside the Puerto Cancun community, just minutes from most hotels. It plays 18 holes, par 72 and 7,241 yards from the back tees, routed along natural canals and the marina, with the Caribbean as a backdrop.
-
Long and precise: the length tests your driving, while winding fairways and well-placed bunkers reward accuracy around the greens.
-
Five sets of tees on every hole: choose the yardage that fits your game, from casual golfers to low handicappers.
-
An island green on 18: the round finishes on a green built on a small island created just for this hole, in Puerto Cancun’s main canal. It’s the most memorable shot of the day and one of the most photographed spots on the course.
-
Best for: guests staying in the Hotel Zone or downtown who want a short ride, or anyone who wants ocean views during their round.
-
What’s included at this course: range balls before your round. Food and drinks are extra and available from the beverage cart on the course or at the clubhouse restaurant.
Riviera Cancun Golf Club: Jack Nicklaus Among Mangroves and Dunes
Our second Jack Nicklaus design opened in 2008 inside a nature reserve at the south end of the Hotel Zone, very close to the airport. It plays 18 holes, par 72 and 7,060 yards from the tips, with wooden bridges over lagoons, fairways that wind through mangroves and native palms, and Caribbean views on holes 14 and 15.
-
Risk and reward: water, bunkers and doglegs make you decide on every shot whether to go for it or play it safe.
-
Nature all around: birds, iguanas and mangrove wildlife are a common sight; the course was built to preserve the ecosystem’s natural water channels.
-
Contemporary clubhouse: the perfect spot for the 19th hole.
-
Best for: golfers looking for the most technical and scenic layout, and for a round on your arrival or departure day, thanks to its proximity to the airport.
-
What’s included at this course: alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks during your round, a meal afterward and range balls before you tee off.

| Riviera Cancun Golf Club |
7:00, 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. |

Pro tip: in Cancun, earlier is better. Early Regular tee times beat the midday heat and, in summer, the tropical showers that tend to roll in during the afternoon. If you’d rather sleep in or spend the morning at the beach, Twilight is a great alternative.

Other Golf Courses in Cancun and the Riviera Maya
Cancun and the Riviera Maya offer plenty of golf. Besides the three courses in our packages, these are some of the best-known courses in the area:
-
Iberostar Cancun Golf Club: an Isao Aoki design, 18 holes and par 72 right in the Hotel Zone, between the ocean and Nichupté Lagoon.
-
El Tinto Golf Club (Cancun Country Club): an 18-hole course inside a residential community south of the city.
-
Cancun Golf Club at Pok-Ta-Pok: the oldest course in the Hotel Zone, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with lagoon views; access for visitors is limited.
-
Playa Mujeres Golf Club: a Greg Norman design north of Cancun, in Costa Mujeres.
-
El Camaleón Mayakoba: in the Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen, best known as a former PGA TOUR host course in Mexico.
We chose Moon Palace, Puerto Cancun and Riviera Cancun because they combine access for visitors, great course quality and easy logistics from Cancun hotels.
